Ohio Real Estate License Exam

The Ohio real estate licensing exam is administered by PSI for the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing (Ohio Department of Commerce). The salesperson exam has 120 scored questions, split between a national portion (80 questions) and a Ohio-specific state portion (40 questions), with 180 minutes allowed. HB 238 (effective April 9, 2025) cut salesperson pre-licensing from 120 to 100 hours (Finance and Appraisal courses each halved to 10 hrs) and eliminated the college-credit requirement for brokers - broker candidates now take four 30-hr courses (Financial Mgmt, HR/Personnel Mgmt, Applied Business Economics, Business Law) from any approved provider, plus 2 years experience. C3RT covers both the national content and Ohio state law end to end, for salesperson and broker candidates.
