Maine Real Estate License Exam

The Maine real estate licensing exam is administered by Pearson VUE for the Maine Real Estate Commission (Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation, Dept. of Professional and Financial Regulation). The salesperson exam has 120 scored questions, split between a national portion (80 questions) and a Maine-specific state portion (40 questions), with 4 hours total (2.5 hrs national/general + 1.5 hrs Maine Law) allowed. Maine has no broker exam at all: it uses a three-tier ladder (Sales Agent -> Associate Broker -> Broker/Designated Broker) where upgrades require only experience (2 years) plus a course (60-hr Associate Broker Course, then a Broker/Designated Broker Course) with a 75% course grade. C3RT covers both the national content and Maine state law end to end, for salesperson and broker candidates.
