Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AZ-900 prep?

C3RT for volume and for continuing into AZ-104 and AZ-500 under the same subscription. Whizlabs if you want a full taught course with Azure labs. Note that Pocket Prep, a major competitor in other verticals, does not cover Azure at all as of July 2026.

Is AZ-900 hard?

It is designed as an entry-level exam and is one of the easiest cloud certifications available, testing broad conceptual familiarity with Azure services and cloud concepts rather than hands-on configuration. Most candidates prepare in 2 to 4 weeks.

Should I take AZ-900 before AZ-104?

It is not required, but commonly recommended for candidates with no prior Azure exposure, since AZ-900 establishes the vocabulary and service landscape that AZ-104 builds on. Candidates with existing cloud experience often skip straight to AZ-104.
